Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah 2014
As the sword Excalibur was drawn from stone, this wine is created from the Stones of our Gimblett Gravels vineyard. In ancient times the Sword Makers were the master craftsmen, carefully blending different percentages of metals to make a stronger sword. The same is true with this wine; each year we carefully craft a blend of the three grapes varieties we grow to ensure the resultant wine is better than its individual parts.
Aromas of ripe dark plums, along with layers of nutmeg, allspice and vanilla. Smooth velvet texture with flavours of blackcurrant, blackberry and black olives. Lovely now, but will cellar well with care.
A bold blend with dark berries and velvety tannins.
