Product Notes

A drink-me-now persona indeed. Galloni's Vinous refers to the Bisci Verdicchio di Matelica this way and we second that notion. It's crisp with beckoning fruit and mesmerizing minerality. Oysters on the half shell. Grilled lobster with melted butter and lemon. Tomato tart, or just a bottle and some glasses. However you drink it, you're going to be happy. Oh, and, it's sibling, the Bisci Fogliano, is on the wine list at the French Laundry (3 Michelin stars) and Eleven Madison Park (3 Michelin stars). If you don't feel like spending $85, give this one a try.

Winery: "An authentic, fresh and mineral Verdicchio from the small and renowned area of Matelica. Great as an aperitif and pairs with light pasts, fish, delicate white meat and vegetables."

The Marche: Tucked away in the Apennine Mountains, the white wines from Marche benefit from long summer days of continuous sun and frigid mountain evenings. These drastic temperature swings are the secret sauce that leads to expressive white wines that bristle with energy. Bisci is perhaps the most well-known winery in the region, the result of Giuseppe Bisci’s decades of churning out outstanding and unique variations of Verdicchio. This year they will once again celebrate a first as the 2019 vintage marks the winery’s first with an organic certification.

Certified organic.
