Product Notes

Winemaking Harvest is at the end of September. Fermentation process: 8 days in concrete tanks, then racking in barriques to carry on Malolactic fermentation. Further 18 months in 225 litres new French oak barriques. Maturation for at least further 6 months in bottle.

Matching food Dishes: meat (red meat and game), aged cheeses. Fantastic food wine.

Production Area:  "Piantonaia" Vineyard • Ruffoli, Greve in Chianti • Tuscany Grapes 100% Merlot

Vineyards General Information Average altitude (above sea level): 430 mts
Ground: Sandy - silty, very rich in stony fraction.
Breeding: Low spur cordon.
Yield:  25hl/ha
