The vVineyard is located at the base of the Caucasus mountains on the left of the river Alazani in Kakheti, Georgia. It was planted at 480 metres above sea level in 2002 on the humus-carbonated soil.
The wine was made with the old Kakhetian traditional technique, using Qvevri. The maceration period was 3.5 month in contact with skin and stems, and then aged in oak barrels for 3 months. There are no additives and sulphur is used only as a disinfectant of the Qvevris. The wine is unfiltered.
The colour is pomegranate, for the nose you can smell different berries and for tasting – medium acidity and tannins. It pairs well with chicken and green salads.
